Nancy Thompson – Executive Director
Nancy has been leading AWENS for over 3 years, in her role as Executive Director, she works closely with the Board of Directors and staff to improve and broaden opportunities for AWENS and its members.
She holds an MBA in Global Leadership and a Diploma in Adult Education. Working in the field of Adult Education for over 25 years, she is dedicated to helping organizations build capacity from within, and insure adult educators receive the professional development they need to be innovative and build success in others.
Nancy believes, by investing in workplace education, everyone wins – the company, the people and the communities in which we live. Workplace education is important to ensure an economy grows.
Missy Searl – Operations and Information Technology Lead
Missy, has been working in an Adult Education environment since 2005, with a background in Family Resource, Early Childhood Education and Entrepreneurship education for new small business owners. In her role at AWENS she is responsible for managing the logistics of the office and information technology for the organization.
Her knowledge in diagnosing and solving computer issues contributes to the overall success in being able to provide a high-level experience for learners using the WEI computer labs.
Daily she works to connect AWENS, community partners and members through actively engaging AWENS on many social media platforms. On a day to day basis, she supports AWENS colleagues working to ensure the organizations goals are achieved.
Samantha Latter – Educational Online Development Assistant
After working in the health care field for 5+ years, came to AWENS on an Administrative Assistant placement, building her Administrative skills while supporting office staff.
Samantha is now the Educational Online Development Assistant (EODA) who will assist through-out the AWENS Online Learning Initiative.
Samantha will gain project management skills, contributing to the preparation of the online learning project workflow. While working in this team environment the EODA will provide administrative, and technical support to teams and clients.
Lesli Chandler – Corporate Lead
Lesli joins the AWENS team with over 10 years of experience as an energetic and relationship-driven corporate professional. Having dedicated most of her career working in Adult Education environment, Lesli is passionate about providing quality client service by developing and strengthening relationships.
Lesli works to assist organizational leaders with ensuring they offer employees learning and development opportunities to support healthy, productive, and drive organizational performance. She knows that success comes through developing strategic learning and development programs.
